The parliamentary committee that will decide whether there is sufficient evidence in the Novartis case file to lift the immunity of the politicians mentioned in connection with the alleged bribery scandal will be set up after February 19 (Greek Lent Monday), Parliament president Nikos Voutsis said on Sunday, speaking to radio station “Athina 9.84”.
Concerning the bribery allegations made in the file, Voutsis said legal opinions differ on whether they are time-barred, however money laundering is not. Voutsis said the protected witnesses will be called to testify in a way that complies with the rules surrounding their protective status.
