According to recent reports, the national broadcaster of Cyprus, RIK has made a proposal to the Greek famous singer, Helena Paparizou to represent Cyprus at the 2018 Eurovision Song Contest, which is going to take place in Lisbon, on May 8, 10 and 12.
The proposal involved a song written by Alex Papaconstantinou, with whom Elena has collaborated in the past.
The news immediately circulated on the Internet, while, according to information, on Tuesday afternoon, Helena met with RIK executives at the Radio Station of ERT, in Athens.
However, it is rumored that at the meeting Helena’s answer was negative. The 35-year-old singer thanked RIK for the proposal, but she kindly refused to appear for the third time at the competition, at least not this year.
We remind that, in addition to 2005’s first place with the song ”My Number One”, the favorite singer also took part in Eurovision Song Contest in 2001, as a member of Antique, with the song ”Die For You”, where they won the third place!
