Another 180 refugees and migrants left Lesvos on Wednesday evening and are set to arrive to the mainland tonight or tomorrow, as part of the government’s efforts to decongest the islands of the eastern Aegean.
They all belong to vulnerable groups, such as families, women travelling alone and disabled people. Eighty people will be sent to Kavala and the other 100 will be sent to Piraeus where they will wait until their asylum request has been processed.
