Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras will be visiting Limnos and Lesvos, on Thursday, within the scope of the 14th Regional Development Conference of the Northern Aegean, held in Mytilene. The first stop of the Greek PM will be Limnos, where he will meet with representatives of local bodies, in Myrina, and will visit the 130th Combat Group of the Hellenic Air Force. Then he will travel to Lesvos for the 14th Regional Conference on the productive restructuring of the Northern Aegean islands.
After his meeting with the ministers who will attend the Conference and with representatives of the local authorities, Mr. Tsipras will deliver a speech at 19:30. He is expected to focus on the refugee issue, announce a series of measures for the islands hit by the migration crisis, and send a message to Ankara regarding Turkey’s provocative actions. At the same time, producers’ organizations of the Northern Aegean Region will protest in Mytilene, on the occasion of the Premier’s visit to the island.
