A rescue operation has been launched to locate the pilot of the M2000-5 military aircraft, which disappeared from the radar on Thursday at 12:15 while flying nine nautical miles northeast of Skyros.
Participating in the operation were military helicopters, a C-130 military transport aircraft, a frigate and a vessel sailing nearby.
The missing aircraft, along with another of the same type, were returning to Skyros after intercepting Turkish aircraft in the Aegean.
