New Democracy condemns paint attack against university professor

New Democracy criticised the government over its inability to tackle crime in Greek universities saying the problem is getting out of hand, after a paint attack against a prominent anti-terror expert and professor at the University of Piraeus earlier today.
“The attack with paint against Professor Mary Bossi during class confirms that the situation I universities is now out of control,” the party said in a press release.
The attack comes only a few days after the vandalism at the University of Macedonia and last month?s attack against Professor Christina Zarafonitou at her office at Panteion University, ND said.
“It is obvious that [Education Minister] Mr. [Kostas] Gavroglou is not at all concerned with rising crime in the institutions of higher education. He has placed his hopes on the ‘robust student movement’ but the only thing that has proven ‘robust’ is his ideologies,” it added.
