The labour ministry rejected on Sunday a news report claiming that the government has reneged on its promise to restore collective labour agreements in the country this fall.
“We are in the unpleasant position to deny them the joy: The two main principles of the collective labour agreements will be activated again in September 2018. This is not a promise, but an approved law of the state,” the ministry said in a press release responding to newspaper “To Vima”.
“We are certain that such development would be particularly pleasing to the publishers and owners of the historical newspaper. We cannot be sure though of the employees’ feelings, including those of the author of the story,” it added.
