Kotzias to participate in Greece-Bulgaria-Romania ministerial meeting on Monday

Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias will visit Bucharest on Monday to participate in a Trilateral Ministerial Meeting between Greece, Bulgaria and Romania.
Discussions will focus on strengthening cooperation in sectors of mutual interest, such as energy and transport, on seeking ways to enhance regional stability and security based on international law, and on cooperation within the framework of the EU, with emphasis on the Western Balkans and the future of Europe. The three countries will also look at ways to jointly tackle the overall challenges facing the region, as well as the prospects that are being opened, with a view to upgrading the region’s role and importance on the European continent.
The trilateral meeting aims to further strengthen cooperation with Bulgaria and Romania, our country’s important NATO and EU partners, as all three countries maintain similar views on respect for international law, the inviolability of international treaties and compliance with UN Security Council resolutions, demonstrating a firm determination to strengthen and develop co-operation with all neighboring states.
During his visit, Kotzias will also be received by Romanian Prime Minister Viorica Dancila.
