“The latest announcement of the European Council, which is sending a strict warning to Turkey, demonstrates Europe’s reaction to Turkey’s unpredictable attitude and the very important upgrade of the Greek diplomatic prestige,” Alternate Foreign Minister Giorgos Katrougalos on Saturday said in an exclusive interview with the Athens-Macedonian News Agency (ANA).
This announcement, he added, is putting things in the right place and speaks of Turkey’s actions that are in contrast with the international law, sending Turkey a strict warning.
Referring to the World Economic Forum held in Delphi, he referred to the participants’ interest over the course of Europe as well as the optimism over Greece’s course.
“Everyone seems to be sure that we will exit the memoranda in August, allowing to proceed with reforms that are absolutely necessary to be made based on a Greek program that will not be dictated and the country will have regained its sovereign rights,” he said.
