The government’s constant goal is to do its best within the institutional framework in order to shed light on the (Novartis) case, Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras is expected to stress in the parliamentary debate on Wednesday regarding the setting up of a preliminary investigative committee, according to government sources.
Following his speech to SYRIZA’s parliamentary group last week, the prime minister is expected to refer to the Novartis scandal, the pharmaceutical spending and special treatment of specific companies by previous governments, the same sources said. He will also showcase the special relations between specific businessmen and officials of the old political regime.
Tsipras is also expected to lash out at main opposition New Democracy (ND) that has accused the government of a “set up scenario.”
