Government’s ‘clean exit’ only an illusion, says ND’s Staikouras

Main opposition New Democracy (ND) responsible for Financial Affairs Christos Staikouras referred to a strict supervision and surveillance mechanism in Greece after the conclusion of the programme and characterised the government’s optimism ?unrealistic?, speaking to Athens-Macedonian News Agency on Saturday.
Staikouras accused the government that has already voted additional austerity measures cultivating the illusion of a ‘clean exit’.
He noted that the way the creation of a cash buffer is not rational but is based on the citizens’ overtaxation.
Referring to the FYROM name issue, Staikouras accused the government that it does not have a uniform stance and is facing the problem with irresponsibility and secret diplomacy.
